In modern conditions, to create economic stability, the key factor is to attract investment in the development of the securities market. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the peculiarities of the functioning of the securities market. The article examines the functions of the securities market, the purposes of government issues, as well as the levels of state regulation of the securities market. The advantages and disadvantages of the securities market are determined. This sector of the financial market is a mechanism that allows companies and the state to raise capital to finance their projects and development, and for investors to receive income from their investments. It is concluded that it is necessary to attract investments through the securities market in order to develop the state’s economy.
