Научно-исследовательская и инновационная деятельность играет ключевую роль в обеспечении конкурентоспособности и стабильного экономического роста. Научно-интеллектуальный потенциал становится важнейшим стратегическим ресурсом для развития экономики, основанной на инновациях. Республика Мордовия активно следует пути инновационного развития, направляя свою экономическую политику на поддержку наукоемких, высокотехнологичных производств и выпуск конкурентоспособной продукции. Динамику инновационного развития Республики Мордовия можно проследить по ее позициям в рейтингах инновационных регионов. В данной статье на основе анализа показателей инновационных рейтингов выявляются особенности инновационной системы региона и определяются резервы ее развития. В Республике Мордовия наблюдается неоднородность в развитии различных составляющих инновационных процессов и их детерминант. Согласно рейтингу инновационного развития субъектов Российской Федерации, построенному на основе Российского регионального инновационного индекса, республика демонстрирует сильные стороны в сфере инновационной деятельности, научно-технического потенциала и качества инновационной политики. Тем не менее, недостаточная разработка социально-экономических условий для инноваций и ограниченная экспортная активность указывают на необходимость дальнейшего совершенствования инновационной системы республики.
Research and innovation activities play a key role in ensuring competitiveness and stable economic growth. Scientific and intellectual potential is becoming the most important strategic resource for the development of an economy based on innovation. The Republic of Mordovia actively follows the path of innovative development, directing its economic policy to support knowledge-intensive, high-tech industries and the release of competitive products. The dynamics of innovative development of the Republic of Mordovia can be traced by its positions in the ratings of innovative regions. In this article, based on the analysis of the indicators of innovation ratings, the features of the regional innovation system are identified and the reserves for its development are determined. In the Republic of Mordovia, there is heterogeneity in the development of various components of innovation processes and their determinants. According to the rating of innovative development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, built on the basis of the Russian regional innovation index, the republic demonstrates strengths in the field of innovation, scientific and technical potential and the quality of innovation policy. However, the insufficient development of socio-economic conditions for innovation and limited export activity indicate the need for further improvement of the republic’s innovation system.
