Abstract

In the process of development, states have developed and implemented various levers of influence on current economic processes, which were both administrative and economic in nature. The need for planning and forecasting has increased. This is primarily due to the fact that the modern economy is an open system built on direct and reverse horizontal and vertical connections and is able to develop successfully only if these connections are managed effectively. Therefore, it is very important for the national economy to create a rational and highly efficient intersectoral economy.

An important forecasting tool is the intersectoral balance developed by the outstanding economist V. Leontiev, which allows analyzing the economy of both national and individual regions and developing effective measures on this basis. The article discusses the economic models of the intersectoral economy. The relevance of the topic under consideration is that the world does not stand still, new sectors of the economy are emerging that require a clear calculation of their interaction with long-established ones.
