FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT AS A FACTOR OF THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF RUSSIA

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the interdependence of foreign direct investment and the economic security of the state. Foreign direct investments affect the development of various sectors of the economy, provide an inflow of additional financial resources, and serve as a source for the implementation of large investment projects. This serves as the basis for the assumption about the impact of foreign direct investment on the level of economic security of the state. Ensuring the country's economic security has recently become one of the most important tasks of public administration. In this regard, the relevance of this topic can be noted. The article analyzes the dynamics of inflow, outflow and balance of foreign direct investment. The main trends in the development of foreign direct investment are highlighted. The sectoral structure of foreign direct investment is presented, which allows one to draw a conclusion about the interests of foreign investors. The reasons for considering foreign direct investment as a potential threat to the country's economic security are stated. A correlation analysis of the dependence of changes in economic security indicators on the volume of foreign direct investment is carried out. The analysis is carried out in the context of inflow, outflow and balance of foreign direct investment.
