Abstract
In the current conditions of the functioning of the domestic market, the solution of the political problem associated with the development of methods for the socio-economic development of the regions of Russia comes to the fore. This is due to the high differentiation of regions from the standpoint of political, social and economic development, which causes a decrease in their level of economic security, and also leads to an outflow of the population from regions with a low standard of living to regions with a high one. The article summarizes the main reasons for the emergence of threats to economic security. The analysis of the socio-economic situation in the Bryansk region is carried out. The necessity of assessing the level of economic security to maintain the stable development of the region has been substantiated. An assessment of the economic security of the Bryansk region for 2015-2019 has been carried out. On the basis of the data obtained, the problems of the economic policy of the region are highlighted, the solution of which will increase the level of economic security.
