THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE DISCLAIMER OF THE CONCEPT OF "INFRASTRUCTURE"

Abstract

The article considers the role of infrastructure in human life, the development of the regional and national economy. Interpretations of the concept of "infrastructure" by various domestic and foreign authors are given, attempts are made to identify the criteria for various types of infrastructure and determine the degree of dependence of investment in infrastructure and its effectiveness. The views of scientists on the essence of infrastructure as a material and social asset are analyzed. Considered are the opinions of various authors who study infrastructure and problems related to infrastructure provision. It is generalized that infrastructure as an object of study is a set of conditions that ensure the production and livelihoods of the population through the social division of labor. It is substantiated that the concept of "infrastructure" should be interpreted as the lower level of the structure, base, base. From an economic point of view, one should speak of infrastructure as something that is located below the main structure.
