This article is devoted to the analysis of international regulatory practice and policy of regulation of digital assets and, in particular, cryptocurrencies. The aim of the work was to compare approaches and identify the full range of possible regulatory instruments in foreign countries. The potential of cryptocurrencies in various countries is presented and considered by the governments of these countries in quite different directions. And effective regulation of this sphere is necessary, on the one hand, capable of protecting its users from new risks, on the other hand, a reasonable enough policy so as not to freeze its development. The result of the analysis demonstrates the need to introduce additional tools for regulating the cryptocurrency market within the framework of patronymic relational practice.
