VASILY LEONTIEV ON MISTAKES AND THEIR CAUSES IN ECONOMICS

Abstract

The errors and their causes in economics, indicated in the works of Vasily Leontiev, are considered. This problem in the economy is caused by the need to plan and forecast the activities of both individual enterprises and their associations, as well as national economic systems. And here it is necessary to know the typical errors that prevent the achievement of the set goals, both at the methodological and methodological level. It is revealed that Vasily Leontiev indicated four main types of errors: the initial error in the data for stable and unstable systems, comparison errors, adaptability and stability of the economic system, empirical validity of economic analysis. The author of the article suggests that at least the following aspects should be taken into account in any study: the clarity and validity of the purpose of the study, the clarity of the subject of the study, the certainty of the real mechanism of functioning (process, phenomenon) qualitatively describing the subject of the study in dynamics and its relationships with the external environment, the adequacy of the data used to the structure of elements, the mechanism of the subject of the study with in terms of the speed of their transformation.
