In modern economic conditions, the activities of insurance companies are the subject of increased attention of a wide range of market participants interested in the results of their functioning. The article presents the use of methods of economic analysis to improve the financial result of an insurance company, for the example IJSK "VSK". Within the framework of the theoretical foundations of managing the financial results of insurance companies, proposals have been prepared to improve the financial result of VSK "Insurance House". The study was carried out on the materials of open databases of scientific publications on the research topic, statistical reports of the Federal State Statistics Service, financial statements of the IJSK "VSK", as well as data from the Bank of Russia. The result of the study is a calculation on the implementation of the proposed measure, demonstrating the feasibility of using the proposed approach to strengthen positions in the insurance market.
