The article deals with the problem of updating fixed assets of a large industrial enterprise located in the Nizhny Novgorod region. When analyzing the fixed assets of an industrial enterprise, it turned out that most of the equipment is worn out, and the useful life is coming to an end. Therefore, the management is faced with the task of updating the equipment to prevent the shutdown of the enterprise. The article presents an investment project for the modernization of equipment and analyzes the payback of the project. As a result of the analysis of the company's fixed assets, it was revealed that a fairly large part of the equipment is worn out, as well as most of the equipment is nearing the end of its useful life. The enterprise is faced with the choice of a method for updating fixed assets, a loan from VTB Bank turned out to be preferable, in the amount of slightly more than 30 percent of the total cost of equipment. The main methods of writing the article were: methods of economic analysis of fixed assets of the enterprise, methods of investment evaluation of the project for the purchase of equipment. Since updating equipment is a very acute issue, the article reflects aspects such as updating fixed assets (making a management decision directly), choosing equipment that needs to be updated, and how to finance the purchase of new equipment.
