ECONOMIC POLICY AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF THE COUNTRY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of economic transformations in Russia since the creation of a new economic model after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Over the past thirty years, the country has managed to achieve a lot, but along with this, much has been missed, not completed, not invested. The article gives its own assessment of economic reforms and transformations, and also identifies shortcomings and weaknesses in the field of financial and economic policy. Regular repetition of history in terms of monetary, currency, investment policy, with a simultaneous change in approaches to forecasting processes and development strategy, do not allow the country to develop in a stable and targeted direction. Ranking and dividing the state view of the economy in the analyzed period, analyzing the dynamics of changes in various indicators, in comparison with similar indicators in other countries, gave us the opportunity to develop and offer our own thoughts in the field of economic reforms. Focusing on the development of production potential, the article assesses the investment potential and the role of state policy in this area, through the mechanism of state stimulation, management and regulation. The result of the conducted research is an assessment of the prospects for the development of the Russian Federation in the foreseeable future as a country with an investment and technological focus, independence and reduced dependence on the export of natural resources.
