ACCOUNTING AUTOMATION ISSUES

Abstract

Various aspects of the company's financial and business activities are reflected in accounting. Accounting is an information base necessary for making effective management decisions and evaluating the work of an organization by various stakeholders, such as government regulators, shareholders, investors, creditors, and others. It is a key tool for monitoring and planning the financial activities of a company, ensuring transparency and reliability of data. In addition, accounting is necessary to comply with legal requirements and reporting standards, which increases confidence in the company's financial statements and helps attract investment. In the modern world, information technology plays a key role in the unification and optimization of the accounting information formation process. They help to increase the efficiency of obtaining financial statements of the enterprise, which in turn facilitates strategic decision-making. Accounting information systems (BIS), which are actively represented on the Russian market, are widely used for accounting automation. This article examines the importance and various aspects of using information technology in accounting. It compares various automation systems, identifies their advantages, and highlights the topic of automation of non-cash payments. As a result, it is concluded that the choice of the optimal solution depends on the familiarity and convenience of the program interfaces for a particular specialist or group of accounting staff, as well as on many other factors affecting the effectiveness of using information systems in accounting activities.
