In the context of accelerated industrialization and digital transformation, the transition to the principles of a closed-loop economy is becoming particularly relevant. Along with this trend, it becomes clear that without incentives, businesses are not ready to take on the environmental burden due to institutional and regulatory reasons, which means they need to develop mechanisms for government support of these processes. The purpose of the article is to analyze the state mechanisms for supporting the circular economy in foreign countries. The reliability and validity of the data obtained is ensured by the theoretical analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis, document analysis, formal legal method, analysis of foreign experience. The article analyzes in a comparative aspect the trends in the use of government mechanisms to support the transition of industries to the principles of a closed-loop economy in the United States, the EU and China. As a result of the analysis of researchers' opinions, the strengths of government support and disadvantages are analyzed. It was concluded that due to the lack of a unified comprehensive policy in the field of closed-loop economics, the implementation of state mechanisms faces considerable difficulties.
