EDUCATION UNDER PRESSURE: CHALLENGES OF DIGITALIZATION AND THE LABOR MARKET

Abstract

 The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that in any period of the state's activity, the presence of possible competition in the education system was one of the necessary conditions for achieving the country's leadership position in the global markets. The answer to the question of how effectively the education system functions in modern times determines the future development of the country's economic relations in thirty or fifty years. There are many problems in the practical activities of enterprises and organizations that are associated with a decrease in the efficiency of their operations due to the low qualifications of the specialists who join them. The lack of qualified personnel in the education system is one of the problems of the Russian education system. It should be noted that this problem is typical for all levels of education. The key factor contributing to the shortage of qualified personnel is the low level of financial support. As a result, educational professionals receive low salaries, which reduces the attractiveness of the educational sector. Additionally, the following factors contribute to the shortage of qualified personnel: the demographic factor, where the retiring generation of educators was larger than the current generation; the high level of emotional and physical stress; and the declining prestige of education. The identified problems require priority solutions, which can be achieved by increasing the real incomes of education system employees, offering one-time support programs, and increasing the prestige of the education sector. The solution to these problems is seen in a comprehensive approach that includes the implementation of practical teaching methods, increasing the number of hours for practical classes in educational institutions, and organizing targeted events to professional development of teachers in the field of education, preparation of proposals aimed at motivating managers of enterprises and organizations interested in training qualified specialists.
