CALCULATION OF INDICATORS OF LABOR PRODUCTIVITY DYNAMICS: DEVELOPMENT OF STATISTICAL METHODS

Abstract

It is emphasized that the formation of statistical methodology in determining the degree and dynamics of labor productivity in the Russian Federation was significantly influenced by the introduction of international standards into the practical sphere of Russian statistics, as well as the active improvement over many years of Russian applied and theoretical statistics, resulting in new sources of information. Methodological innovations in determining the degree and activity of labor productivity are considered. In particular, justifications are given for the need to determine the result of economic activity in calculating the degree of productivity per unit of labor costs using indicators fixed in the System of National Accounts (SNA); the use of new sources of information in the assessment of labor costs. Along with the company's reporting, these sources should include information provided by the federal sample survey of the workforce. This also includes information from tax authorities, the results of a survey of farms, individual entrepreneurs in various fields of management, as well as information available to the migration service. Integrated sources of information make it possible to include all indicators of labor costs in the calculation of labor productivity. The methodology is given, using which the total labor costs for the production of products and services are calculated in accordance with the labor costs in all forms of activity, including overtime activities and the manufacture of goods for personal needs, in the so-called full-time equivalent. It is emphasized that the methodological improvement of applied statistical calculations of labor productivity indicators should be based on theoretical research. Taking into account the above methodological provisions of official statistics and summarizing the results of theoretical and practical research reflected in scientific sources, the structure of statistical indicators for assessing the impact of factors on ensuring targets in the dynamics of labor productivity has been formed.
